Willie Revillame Signs Contract with TV-5 / Manny Pangilinan, Gets Sued by ABS-CBN

ABS-CBN recently failed a counterclaim damage suit against their former talent and noon-time host of show Wowowee, Mr. Willie Revillame. Revillame, however, did not appear worried about the half-billion peso counter suit as he simply brushed it off and said that his attorneys would handle it. Rather, Willie would like to remember the good memories about his former bosses.

Willie Revillame's Illness, Movie, Will, and New Girlfriend

A lot has been going on in the life of Wowowee host Willie Revillame lately, with his alarming health condition(s), new Mr. Housewife movie, the draft of his last will and testament, and possibly a developing love life.

Ulcers and Artery Blockage

According to Willy, based on his doctors' assessment, he has multiple ulcers throughout his digestive system, which has caused extensive scar tissue development in his stomach and intestines. Another concern is his heart, which has one blocked artery. In his words:

"Yung aking intestine, may nana. Meron kasi akong sugat sa loob. Kasi nga, ang sakit natin yung hindi pagkain. Dahil alam mo, ang totoo nun, ang dami kong ulcer. Ngayon ang problema ko, may scar yung intestine ko. So doon kami nagko-concentrate. Pero alam mo saan kami nagulat? Yung puso ko may block na isang ugat," relates Willie Revillame about his health condition.

"Eto ang heart, di ba? Maraming veins ‘yan. Yung isang vein dito, isang part dito ng aking puso hindi pumapasok ang aking dugo. Kaya ngayon, bukod sa puso ko, bawal na sa akin ang softdrinks, walang coffee, walang oily food," kuwento ni Willie. Pero bago siya makapagpatuloy ay saka naman siya tinawag para mag-take.

New Movie - Mr. Housewife

Based on it's title, one can pretty much infer what the movie is about. Basically, Willy loses his job and has difficulty finding a new one, so he ends up becoming--you guessed it--Mr. Housewife. He is joined here by former Wowowee co-host Roxanne Guinoo, who plays his wife in the film. The role was initially supposed to go to either Kristine Hermosa, Cristine Reyes, or Bea Alonzo, but due to respective busy schedules and projects, the part went to Roxanne. His children are played by ABS-CBN child stars Sharlene and Nash.

Last Will and Testament

Willie confirmed that it is indeed true that he is drafting a will and testament and it is currently being prepared for him. He has plans on giving his wealth and properties to his children and those unrelated to him that have helped him throughout his career and tough times in his life. His homes and properties he claims will go to his four children, three daughters (including Meryll Soriano) and one and only son. The rest of his wealth will go to others, which he claim will be surprised when they learn he has left something for them.

Why the decision to draft a last will and testament this early in life? He states that due to the sudden happenings in his life, the future may be short and definitely unpredictable. In his own words:

"Actually, pinapagawa ko talaga. ‘Tsaka pinapagawa ko at the same time...may mga importanteng tao sa buhay ko na gusto kong ilagay doon na hindi ko kamag-anak. Hindi kasi, nung down ako sa buhay, nandiyan, e. So, hindi ko makakalimutan ang mga taong ‘yun.

"Kung napamahal man ako sa kanila, I don't think na hindi dapat pag-anuhan ng mga anak ko. Kasi nung time na down na down ang tatay ninyo... Kasi yung mga properties ko naman ngayon, fully paid na lahat. Wala akong utang."

Balak niyang ibigay ang mga land properties sa mga anak—tatlong babae at isang lalaki. Ang isa ay ang aktres na si Meryll Soriano, at ang kanyang unico hijo na si Juan Emmanuel, o Juamee, ay anak niya sa dating beauty queen na si Liz Almoro.

Aniya, "Yung Capitol [bahay], regalo ko na kay Meryll. Pinaayos niya. Inaayos na [ang paglipat sa pangalan ni Meryll]... Ganun din, e, bibigay ko rin naman sa kanya lahat yun. Yung sa Tagaytay ko, hati-hati silang lahat na mga anak ko kasi 4,000 square meters yun, e. Malaki yun, e."

Sa pagpapatuloy niya, "Basta magugulat na lang lahat ang mga taong hindi nila ine-expect na meron. Basta meron. Actually, yung last will and testament ko, kaya ko ginawa ‘yan, kasi sa pangyayari sa buhay ko na napakabilis. So, alam mo, baka mabilis lang lahat, e. So, kung meron man akong na-invest ngayon, para sa mga mahal ko sa buhay—una, sa apat kong anak, maghahati-hati yan—‘tsaka yung mga taong importante sa buhay ko, na naging part ng buhay ko, especially yung krisis ng buhay ko."

New Girlfriend?

And finally, there is the news of his "mystery date" that he brought to the Star Magic Ball last June 29 at the EDSA Shangri-La.

According to Willy:

"Hindi, nag-guest yun sa Wowowee kasama yung mga candidates ng Slimmer's 'ata yun. Taga-Obando, Bulacan. She's 19 years old na sa CEU [Centro Escolar University] nag-aaral. Ang kinukuha niya, Tourism. Simpleng babae, napakamahinhin. Parang Charo Santos gumalaw. Yung ano, simpleng babae, pino.

"‘Tapos nung dumalaw ako sa kanya sa Obando, pinuntahan ko. Medyo gabi na noon. Medyo iskinita yung lugar. Simpleng bahay lang. Nandun ang lolo niya, ang lola niya. Pamilyang ano, probinsiyana. Hindi lumalabas ng bahay. Hindi alam yung mga night life dito sa ano, para kang nakakita ng Lucy Torres sa Bulacan. Natuwa naman yung lolo niya nung makita ako.

"'Tapos nagte-text kami. Bumabaha pa nga sa kanila. Minsan magte-text siya sa akin, ‘Huwag ka na pumunta, nagbabaha, high tide.' Nagbabaha talaga!

"Simpleng buhay lang siya. Tinanong ko nga sa kanya bakit niya nagustuhan doon. Bakit hindi lumipat dito? Nag-aaral siya, bakit di siya mag-dorm? Sabi niya, ‘Hindi ko puwedeng iwanan ang lolo't lola ko. Kami ang nag-aalaga sa kanila.' Nagma-mano..." tuluy-tuloy na kuwento ni Willie.

Reportedly, the girl's name is Nadine Ignacio. But regarding their relationship status, Willy states that there is nothing more than just mere seldom textmates between the two of them as he does not want to end up hurting the girl in the long run.

"Nagugustuhan ko siyang kausap. Ayoko siyang ligawan ‘tapos lolokohin mo lang? Kawawa ito," says Willie Revillame about his rumored new girlfriend.

Randy Santiago Hosts Wowowee While Willie Sick

Randy Santiago has been hosting Wowowee for quite a few days lately while Willie Revillame apparently rests up due to an illness.

In fact, even John Lloyd Cruz hosted for a day as Willie Revillame reportedly is recuperating from being paos or malat. The days prior to his absence, Willie was seen (and heard) as losing his voice.

Since nawala si Willie, I have read quite a few comments and forum messages regarding the fans' liking to Randy Santiago, claiming that mas maganda, mas nakakatawang, at mas nakakatuwang panoorin when Randy hosts kasi si Willie daw ay sobrang mayabang or arrogant. But on the other hand, Wowowee loyals are missing their regular host and are awaiting his return as they search the internet for answers as to why Willie has been gone.

Wowowee Scandal: RR Enriquez

Lesser co-host of Wowowee, RR Enriquez, managed to get into the news due to her scandalous photos of the past.

Although first claiming that the topless photos spreading on the internet were photoshopped, she later admitted that "some" of the photos are actually her, confessing that she had taken part in a controversial photo shoot for an animal feed (Grain Handlers Philippines, Inc.) calendar last year, because she desperately needed money.

But it seems that the pictorial scandal isn't doing much harm to curvy RR's career, as she will be getting even more exposure through Maxim Magazine, as she is the cover girl for the month of June 2008, apparently following in the footsteps of the likes of other Wowowee dancers Luninging, Milagring, and Mariposa.

Precious Lara Tinanggal (Fired?) Off Wowowee

Lara Quigaman fired from Wowowee, or so the rumor goes. Many have noticed that the Precious Wowowee co-host never reappeared after the Hawaii show in Honolulu two weeks ago.

So what happened? ABS-CBN has not given an official message out regarding the issue, but apparently (based on a reliable source), Lara was taken off the show due to "breaking the rules."

It is a hard rule for Wowowee, and probably other ABS-CBN tv productions, not to have boyfriends/girlfriends tagging along. Apparently, Lara has a possessive rich Chinese guy for a boyfriend who came to the studio regularly, but was restricted to only the dressing room. According to the source, this is why Lara is unable to concentrate on the job and is usually seen rushing, in order to keep track of her boyfriend.

In fact, the relationship is affecting her career so much that her role is confined in "That's My Doc," due to restrictions (mga bawal) like she is unable to hold hands, kiss, etc.

And it seems this has cost her her position as co-host of Wowowee. She was adamant about bringing her boyfriend to Hawaii for the show even though it was a violation of the "rules." She was so stubborn, in fact, that she said to cancel her ticket. And it seems the folks at ABS-CBN canceled that and more.

Wowowee - Hawaii Party Misunderstanding

Wowowee, ABS-CBN's top-rating daily noontime variety show hosted by Willie Revillame, staged a two-hour special in the 50,000-seat stadium, the largest in Hawaii, on May 10 (May 11 in Manila). The controversy lies in the "Wowowee VIP Bash" private party reportedly held at Rumours nightclub on May 8.

Apparently, over 200 fans paid $100 (P4,248) to attend the private party where program host Willie Revillame, co-hosts Mariel Rodriguez, Valerie Concepcion, Precious Lara Quigaman, Pokwang and RR Enriquez, as well as the Wowowee Dancers were supposed to be guests.

Reportedly, ticket holders complained they were made to wait for hours and that, in the end, only three dancers showed up.

The official statement from ABS-CBN is: "The ‘Wowowee’ production team received an invitation from the organizers of the private party, but [the team] never accepted, committed or agreed to bring the [cast], except for the three dancers... [The team was also] unaware that tickets [for the event] were being sold."

The network denied any association with Bigatin Productions.
